Description
As part of the latest unveiling in the ‘Music Icons’ series, Raymond Weil bring us this AC/DC inspired watch as part of their Freelancer Collection – limited to 3000 pieces worldwide.
This freelancer calibre RW1212 features a sleek 42.5mm stainless steel case and sophisticated black dial with silver indexes. The focus of attention is its exclusive mechanical self-winding movement in partnership with Sellita that beats at a frequency of 28,000 vibrations per hour with a 38-hour power reserve. The diamond-polished balance wheel and skeletonised bridges ensure transparent visibility extending to the very heart of the watch. Luminescent hands and studded hour markers are in the same silver tone as the stainless steel case and large prominent screw-down crown, whilst the black leather strap features embossed AC/DC logo detailing to mirror the logo of the dial.
The dial itself has been carefully textured and features the iconic thunderbolt emblem at 12 o’clock as part of the AC/DC typography. As a final finishing touch the edition number is engraved onto the back of the watch around the edge of the sapphire glass.
